Write a brief summary (one quality paragraph) in your own words.
After your paragraph, copy and paste a link to the online article.

Either way is acceptable, however I would prefer that you try to get familar with this type of learning tool: using a blog.

101 Reasons Why Art is Essential:

We paint, we draw, we color.
We use our imaginations.
We explore.
We dream.
We create.
We problem solve.
We do "gallery walks."
We have "Painting Parties."
We feel good & are proud of our work.
We enter art contests & win awards/prizes for creating great artwork.
We are creative.
We are clever.
We are unique & original.
Artwork gets published in the newspaper.
Artwork gets displayed in local coffee shops.
Artwork gets displayed in display cases around school & in the library.
Art relaxes you.
Art lowers blood pressure.
Art is therapeutic.
Art heals.
We have a district-wide Spring Arts Festival.
We have a sidewalk chalk art drawing festival.
We can attend an Edu-Tour arts extravaganza trip.
We have freedom of choice on "Freedom Friday."
We go outside and have class outdoors.

Art is a "release" from core academic subjects.
