  3. The Mona Lisa has very dark colors and she looks like she can pop out of the painting. She looks very serious but at the same time happy.
The Mona Lisa looks happy but when you really look at it, her eyes look sad and serious. The Mona Lisa has all of the elements of art except shape.
The Mona Lisa makes me feel sad and her smile troubles me. She looks like someone is bothering her.
The Mona Lisa deserves to be in a great museum because the painting is beautiful and you can easily say this painting is very successful.

  4. This piece of art work is of a woman dressed in black cape and dress. The women's arms are folded in a bored way. She looks like she's at a dock leaning against a rail. She doesn't have eye brows and her eyes seem tired. Mona Lisa smiles as if she is forced or doesn’t want to. In the painting, it looks to be afternoon when the sun gets dim. A body of water surrounds the land and mountains.
This portrait is composed of light and dark colors. The bottom of the painting is dark but as you go higher in to the sky painting gets lighter. The artist uses the elements of art and has a great emphasis on texture. Leonardo da Vinci uses darks colors on her face to show the shaded parts. For example, just above she eyelids he shades to show her head is over her eyes.
I feel this piece of artwork was created to show how as the day goes on, so do you. The background looks dull and doesn't have and bright or fierce colors. Similar to the background, Mona Lisa acts bored and isn't exactly smiling. Her smile might have faded when the bright morning passed, and now that it's the tedious afternoon, she has a dull expression on her face like how the background is becoming dark and dreary.
I find this art work valuable because the artist put his feelings and emotions in to this portrait. He shows in this painting how dull, worried, or bothered he seems. This is also valuable to me because it hold my attention, it makes me stop and think about how the Mona Lisa feels and how dull everything gets as the day passes.

this painting has many good features a description is that she looks happy in the painting. My analysis is that she look likes she is in a valley by a river. An interpretation is that she must be in a quiet place where nobody is around her. Last my judgement is that it should lack success because it is just a picture of a girl.

  6. This is a complex painting of a woman with a scenic background, she has no expression, brown colored hair, and a very light skin tone, very pale. There is mostly dark colors in this painting and it shows a great proportion of shape and form. This is a very grim lady being painted with a picturesque background, with great coloring and form to where it looks as if it is real. This picture to me is very boring, very dark and extremely plain, I think that it should have more colors and more going on.

  7. This picture shows a lady that is in front of a background with trees and water. The lady has little expression. Depending on the way you look at her you can see her expression. She has a faint smile. I think that her expression shows mystery and her feelings are very hard to determine. This picture is very dark and doesn't have bright vivid colors. I think that if there were more vivid colors then the picture would be more appealing and people would want to stop and think about it.

  8. The painting of the Mona Lisa is a bit scary. I think that she should have eye brows. Description: she has median hair about to her shoulders. the artist used earth tone colors and used brighter color at the top and the dark colors at the bottom. she seems serious and happy at the same time. the back round is very gloomy and makes the painting very sad. the back is a road that ends at a lake, with mountain behind. she is wearing a long black dress and a cape. But over all the painting is very good and seems that the artist put a lot of work into it.

  9. I think that there is a kind of mysterious and creepy. The Mona Lisa has a really light skin tone. The Mona Lisa doesn't have any eyebrows.
I also like this painting because there are two totally different feeling that the Mona Lisa looks like she has. In one feeling she looks happy but she also looks sad or upset about something that went wrong.
The background is kind of nice but kind of boring. This is one of my favorite painting. The Mona Lisa is a very successful painting that Leonardo Da Vinci.

  10. The Mona Lisa is a scary picture in my opinion. The colors are very natural and dark. The artist created an illusion of space. I can see the scenery in the background. The Mona Lisa looks like it has cracks in her skin and she looks like a male with a wig on.
She looks very calm and relaxed. Yet, she looks somewhat sad and depressed. She has a very questioning look on her face. It kinda freaks me out. Either way you move, she always is staring at you.
I would think that this picture would be very exprensive because it has such detail.

the mona lisa is a dark and mysterious peice of art. She does not have eyebrows and it makes the face more dramatic. I feel that it could be a little brighter and more colorfull to add vibrance and elagance.

  13. I would describe the Mona Lisa as a deep, tragic piece of art. Although she is smiling, the sadness and cruel beauty reflects the ever going struggle of humankind in her time.

  14. It is beautiful, the back round looks like the lake or a countryside. To me she looks as if she is if she just sat down and as if the back round was fake. her posture is nice but she doesn't look very relaxed. she is wearing a nice brown dress but you really can't see any detail.
She looks as if she is kind of tense. also if you noticed she doesn't have any eyebrows in the painting, but people found our that it just sunk into the paper or canvass.
My interpretation is that tha mona lisa was a girl that just was asked to pose with no idea that it was about to be very famous.
I think that this painting is not original or that creative becuase it i s just a painting of an average girl. what is so special about her any way, he could have chosen any girl to pose for him?

It uses the element of space because behind her you can see there is a river and mountains. When she smiles it makes me feal creaped out.
I think that in this pisture they could of added some brighter colors, because it has such dark colors it makes me feal sad.

  20. This picture is called Mona Lisa is a calming portrait of a woman. Its balanced and its subject of the woman are nicely expressed and attractive to look at. The Mona Lisa is a pale, dark and thin haired woman sitting centered in the picture with her arms crossed and relaxed. But what you notice in the picture is the way she is staring intently with a odd expression of amusement on her face. Looking at her relaxed manner calms me. Her clothes are heavy and dark and look like robes of fabric. Her skin and hair textures look soft, but her features are well defined. In the background the two sides of the picture do not seem to match as one looks like ocean and the other looks like ground rocks and mountains. by William B. period 6

  21. The Mona Lisa sits straight up with good posture.
She doesn't look very happy but she just looks like she is being made to sit very still. The Mona Lisa is painted very dark and looks mysterious. The Mona Lisa actual picture is actually very small to my surprise. It is true that which ever way you move she seems to be watching you. She seems like she has a story to tell.

We think it is detailed and has a very descriptive background. Da Vinci should have put some eye brows on the Mona Lisa. She looks happy but at the same time depressed and serious.

  26. We think the Mona Lisa has many elements of art like, line, shape, form, space and value. I can tell it has space because she is bigger than the trees like a close up. the form makes it look like a photo instead of a painting.the line is all over her, her face especially. the shape is all over the painting. it is the most used element of art in this painting and so is line.it is also used a lot in this painting. she is a little weird because of the "no eyebrows" thing but she really is a work of art. i think if there was vivid colors it would ruin the painting. the painting shows that the interperation is calm and mellow. the Mona Lisa looks like she was hiding something or just a fading smile. she has a weird nose, and curly brown hair. she looks like a regular woman except for the "no eyebrows" thing. she has good posture. we cant tell her race, but we're guessing she's italian, or caucasian. shes cool!

this picture is not that great in my perspective. i mean she has no eyebrows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is sooooo depressing and super boring because wehave seen it like our whole life since we were babies.
It is so exciting though in a freaky way. she stares at me like she likes me or something. its so scary
her hair probably has to be the worst part because it like flat at the top and curly at the bottom like she uses that garnier hair styling. in the backround there is a tranquil forest like forest gump that has weeeee little tiny small mini birds that go "caaaacaaaacaaaccacacacaaca" and are HUGE!
her arms are folded in a peculiar way that represents that people back then did not have any style or any STEEZ.
i think that mona lisa was some sort of cat lady that lived alone becuase she is not that attractive and also ugly.
i have no idea why leonardo would even bother to draw her at all. i mean i wouldnt.
there are also mountains behind her.
i think i know why she isnt smiling through her teeth
its becuase her teeth were all crooked and really ugly.

  31. In the Mona Lisa, a woman is portrayed in a sitting position as the subject of the work, unified by color, value, texture, space, and form to the background. In the painting, the overall darker tomes create a somber mood that matches the woman's smile. The use of shading for the woman draws the eye to the face, which is in the light. The somber and serene mood gives a mysterious vibe to the subject, suggesting that there is more to the painting. I think that this painting is a success because it effectively combines the elements of art with the principles of design to create a visually pleasing painting.

  33. We think that the mona lisa picture is a good painting becuase it has very unique colors. She doesnt look very happy becuase it looks like she is putting on a fake smile or she is trying to smile.
She has no eyebrows so that looks kind of weird. The picture in the background is like a forest theme. The color is kind of faded and it matches what she is wearing. Her hands are crossed and she is sitting up straight so it looks like she is being directed on how to sit by Leonardo.
The picture has all the elements of art such as space, texture, color, line, form, and shape. The picture looks like a light is shining on her skin to make it lighter becuase her hands at the bottom of the picture are darker than her face and chest.
She looks around the age of 25 but she is probably older.
Where ever you go, her eyes follow you. She has dark brown eyes. We think to make the picture look better, Leonardo picked the background that he did so it would hide her paleness and ugliness. She probably looks uglier than the picture makes her look.
Her clothes are strange even though maybe back then they were in style.
It looks like Leonardo hide a lot of her ugliness by making her skin different colors and her hair looking better than it probably was, and adding a background to make her eyes pop. We think that this picture is pretty depressing and sad becuase of the colors and the creepy look on her face.
In our oppinion it looks like this picture could fit in with a horror movie.
The sky colors makes her skin look a lot lighter than Leonardo probably wanted it to look.
It looks like there is a river in the background but you can't tell its main color because there is a lot of colors mixed into it.
We think that there should have been more thought to how this picture was put together such as the colors of the whole picture. Maybe the artist was in a hurry for some reason to get this finished.
Leonardo make it clear that her hair looks curly and frizzy.
We think that that there should have been more color at the bnottom of the picture because you can barely tell what she is wearing because it is the same color, black.
It looks like she is not the skinniest person in the world and it looks like she has to go to the bathroom.
It looks like she is getting very impatient with the artist because maybe it took a long time to paint it because he wanted it to be special.

  34. The Mona Lisa is a very sad painting because her smile is poor and it is a very dark panting. The Mona Lisa looks scary because she has no eye brows. There is no meaning to this very dark paining. I think this painting could pop out and scare you and it looks like an illusion because she is always looking at you no matter where you are. I think the Mona Lisa gets to much credit even its not that amusing.
I also think this painting is not very to attractive to look at also. I would rate this painting a 6 out of 10. Jackson thinks it is a 5 1/2 out of 10. This painting would be much better it uses brighter colors.
This painting has great space and details. Also it has good form because it looks so real. In the back round of this painting it looks hard to see and you can barely see the body of water in the back round.

I also think that the price of this painting should be worth way more than it should cost.. even though that it's never probably going to be on sale... Anyway.. my description of the Mona Lisa is a portrait of a woman with her hands crossed on a lap. Another thing is that it was painted by a legendary painter, Leonardo da Vinci. My judgement of this picture is that it is amazing for a portrait from over 500 years ago.. When I looked on Wikipedia on how much it cost, which was about 670 million dollars, I think it should be worth billions now.

she is so beautiful, she displays unique beauty, while also showing much class
the reason is because she has a smile that shows that she plays hard to get, but she can be a fiesty one...
her eyebrows show that she likes to pluck, but sometimes she goes overboard
this took leonardo da vinci over three years to create, and it shows that he put much effort into it
i really like how he used the atmospheric perspective to make it look as if the mountains were way behind her
i also noticed the warm colors the way they were used in her attire, as if she was ALIVE!

I would say that this painting would be worth millions if anyone could sell it. She seems to be in the forest where she is. I think she was the wife of a rich landlord and she had her portrait taken in there really big yard. I think the trail on the left was probably mad by the servants of hers so that she could walk without getting her shoes dirty. 45. I think that the Mona Lisa is very interesting. She shows sadness because of her pail out-look, yet she seems to have a warming feeling to her. The weird part about Mona Lisa is that she really wasn't a portrait. Leonardo Da Vinci didn't paint anyone in particular. I think that he did this painting to show that you can be happy or sad. In the back round of the Mona Lisa I think that there is a slow flowing river with a rock waterfall that trickles right over the moss covered rocks, not stopping even in the Earth stopped spinning. My favorite part of the Mona Lisa is her face. It is happy yet sad, common yet unique, pail yet colorful. To me the Mona Lisa is rated a 9/10.

  48. The Mona Lisa is a very popular painting done by Leonardo da Vinci. It is very realistic looking. She is very pale and she doesn't have any eyebrows, which is odd.
I think the reason why she doesn't have eyebrows is because then people will think about it. If she had eyebrows, you'd skip right over them and wouldn't comment on it. Since she doesn't have any, it seems strange and you wonder why she doesn't which Leonardo da Vinci may have wanted.
This painting reflects the time that it was painted in such as how they dresses. She is wearing a thick dress that looks like Renaissance style. She looks very classy.
The background is dark, yet her face seems to be lit. It is a bit dull looking, but it uses all the elements of art.
She has a small smile on her face, but she doesn't seem happy. She seems distracted or bothered. It seems like she was forced to be in that pose, and it isn't how she would normally look.
To many people, it is confusing why this painting is so famous. At the time of this painting, there weren't many artists who painted such realistic things. Nothing had looked as real as this so it was significant. In our time now, however, it doesn't seem that significant to many of us anymore so we find it boring.

  49. The Mona Lisa is a wonderful piece of artwork. It must have taken Leonardo Da Vinci a whole week to finish this artwork. She looks very serious and people say she is smiling but to me as my own opinion it looks like she just has a straight face. Although I would too if I had to sit there for as long as she had to. Da Vinci got all the details to like even the lining of her dress to the way her hair was. 55. The Mona Lisa comes in different aspects. It is one of my favorite pieces of art. I like how it's very unique. It seems like she is hiding something from us that is hidden inside the painting. The only thing that creeps me out in this painting is how where ever you go her eyes follow you. What kills me the most is how you cant tell what her expression is in the painting. Her face looks blank with a smile. This painting make me think a lot. For example, what was she looking at when the painter was painting this and why does she have this mischievous smile on her face. Well all I can conclude is that this is one of my favorite pieces of art.

-- This picture of the Mona Lisa is kinda creepy. Her eyes like follow you everywhere, kinda wierd. Also she doesn't have any eyebrows which isn't quite normal. Besides those things, it is a very nice looking picture. The artist painted this picture with a lot of different colors. The different shades make the woman in this picture very real looking.

  61. The Mona Lisa is a fabulous artwork yet still a bit creepy. The mona lisa is in a calming setting with weird but simple clothes on. As everybody else said it before she has no eyebrows and looks a little overweight. she also has a double chin. Her hair looks a little ratty as if it would smell if you were to meet her. her hands are at an awkward position resting on her lap. The background is very detailed. On one side it looks like a river with a jungle and on the other side it looks like a magical castle. I ananlyze this painting by it being good and detailed. I interpret that hse had lots of secrets and a dark past by her facial expression and it famousness. WE judge this painting that it is quite good and understand why its famous. I give it a 10 out of 10 and two thumbs up. Also I love kitties

  62. The Mona Lisa looks like a women in a dark colored dress that is sitting in front of a bright magical forest that has a sparkling lake. Her facial expression is a little glum but for some reason she looks kind of happy. She has a very short glare that makes you feel like she is looking right at you. The mood in this painting is very calm and relaxing because there is a lake in the back round. The trees and the lake looks like you could feel them. there is space because the lady is in front of the forest which made it look like she was really in the forest and on a hill while the artist was painting this picture.

  65. I think in this painting the painter is trying to express his feelings, and he is doing that by painting a picture of a woman expressing that same feeling. If you look at the lower part of her upper body, it gets darker and darker. This picture doesn't have a lot of color, and there is no color for a reason. When you look at her hairm, it looks like she just came out of the shower because it is all long and very black, it also looks like she is wearing a wig. I like thuis picture but I think he could have added more color.

  68. The Mona Lisa is a famous painting done by Leonardo Da Vinci. The Mona Lisa is sad and depressing at the same time. The artist uses a lot of dark colors. The lady in the picture has brown hair and tan/pale skin. She is wearing a black cape and her sleaves are silk. Her hands are crossed and she is looking at the artist. It looks like she is forced to smile, and she has been in that position for a long time. The mood that she sets is very sad and she looks ungrateful. In the background there are brown trees (dead trees). There is some sun light in the top right hand corner, with a little strip of green (life). There are also roads that lead down a hill, or they could be little streams, that have very little water. All together i do and don't like this painting. I like this painting because it has a lot of descriptions, whether or not they were small of big. Some of the small descriptions made the painting what it is.
I don't like this painting because it uses to many sad and gloomy colors, and she doesn't look happy at all. I also don't like this paining because it seems like she is worried about something, which makes other people worry as well.

I think that when Leonardo da Vinci painted Mona lisa, he should have added a pair of eyebrows because it makes the painting look less real. other than that, I think he did a good job by putting in a lot of great details and making the painting look as real as possible. Also, I like the way that the background looks. it sort of gives me a creepy feeling though.

  79. I can see why the Mona Lisa is so expensive but I don't think that it should be so much money and as valued. Her smile seems forced it doesn't look like she wants to be there it has a nice background though. It has nice detail, and it looks like the sun is shining on her because of the shadow by her eyes and how bright her face and upper chest are and her hands are much darker. So over all I think it's a nice painting. That would take a lot of skill. But still not worth the amount it is.

it is sooooo depressing and super boring because wehave seen it like our whole life since we were babies.

  118. The Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda) is a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci of a younger woman sitting down, her crossed hands resting on the arm of a chair. She is dressed in dark clothing and seems to have a veil covering her hair. She has a smile that is not a full smile. Her hair are curly at the tips. She does not have eyebrows.
The background shows a countryside, with a winding path leading to icy mountains. There also is a small arched bridge by her left shoulder. It seems to me that the background is higher on the right side than on the left side. It is a little strange to see.
This painting is rather dark, except for her face and neck where the light strikes.
The painting shows elements of art such as space and form and line and shape, with colour.
I do not really like this painting, because I cannot understand the expression on her face.
I am not sure that she is smiling, because only half her mouth seems to smile. Is she happy ?
To me she does not seem to have much feelings.
